Onboarding wizard

The first time you log in, AZSuite runs a short wizard to set up your account. It covers four things:

  1. Pick a persona — controls your default tile set
  2. Add your first aircraft — auto-populated from N-number lookup
  3. (Optional) Make your first logbook entry — lets you see how the logbook works with real data
  4. (Optional) Connect a phone — install link + login token

The wizard takes 2–3 minutes if you have an N-number handy. Skip steps you don't need.

Step 1 — Persona

Pick the role that best describes how you'll use AZSuite. The choice affects which dashboard tiles appear by default; you can change tiles later via Tile Settings.

Persona Best for
Pilot You fly aircraft (yours or others') and want a logbook
Aircraft Owner You own an aircraft and need to track maintenance
Flight Club You operate or are a member of a multi-aircraft club
Experimental Builder You're building or flying an amateur-built
A&P / Mechanic You maintain customer aircraft as a certificated A&P
Repair Shop You run a shop with multiple aircraft, customers, work orders
Administrator You manage an AZSuite tenant for an organization

If multiple apply, pick the most-frequent role; the others' features are all available regardless via Tile Settings.

Step 2 — Add your first aircraft

Type the N-number (e.g., N20TU). AZSuite queries the FAA registry and auto-populates:

  • Make (e.g., Cessna)
  • Model (e.g., 172N)
  • Year
  • Serial number
  • Engine make / model
  • Propeller make / model

Confirm the auto-populated values are right (the FAA registry sometimes lags real fleet changes). Adjust as needed.

If you don't own / fly an aircraft yet, Skip this step. You can add aircraft later from the Aircraft tile.

Step 3 — First logbook entry (optional)

A pre-filled logbook form lets you create one entry to see how it works:

  • Date — defaults to today
  • Aircraft — pre-selected to your just-added aircraft
  • Total time — type in tenths
  • Route — KZPH-KZPH for a local flight, or actual departure / arrival

Click Save to log the entry. The dashboard now shows your first total time on the Pilot Logbook tile.

If this is too forced (e.g., you haven't flown anything new yet), Skip.

Step 4 — Mobile app (optional)

If you have a phone handy:

  1. AZSuite shows a QR code that opens the App Store / Play Store listing
  2. Scan it with your phone
  3. Install the app
  4. Open the app and sign in with the same email / password

The app pulls down your aircraft and any logbook entries you've created.

If you don't want the mobile app, Skip.

Done

The wizard concludes and lands you on the dashboard. Welcome to AZSuite.

Re-running the wizard

If you skipped steps and want to come back to them:

  • Add an aircraft any time via the Aircraft tile
  • Add logbook entries via the Pilot Logbook tile
  • Install mobile from alpha-zulu-suite.com/mobile or via the App Store search

You can't re-run the persona-selection step from the wizard, but you can change personas under Profile → Settings.
